The Backboard Flotation Assist Device^TM (U.S. Patent No. 8,328,592) is a revolutionary new product designed to provide greater stability and flotation support to the victim as well as the rescuer during an aquatic emergency.  Air chambers, designed to fit most backboards, are attached to the backboard and are inflated primarily by a CO2 gas cartridge.  Each air chamber  has its own manual, one-way inflation tube and a dump valve to allow for air volume adjustment.  The Backboard Flotation Assist Device is designed as an add-on, to fit the backboards you currently have at your facility.
